M E M O R I A L S C H O L A R S H I P
This scholarship was established in honor of the late Alita A. Watkins, a life-long resident of Haywood County. She was a graduate of Haywood High School (1980) and the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. A single mother of three children, she sometimes worked three jobs simultaneously but still managed to use whatever motivational tools necessary to encourage her sons to excel academically while impacting the community. This scholarship honors her memory and her unparalleled love for the community she lived in.
